I know its been a long time since I posted anything. It's been for good reason though. It seems like I've come to the end of the road with my blogspot. I'm in transition to an actual website. It will be finished soon and I will let it be known when it is. So many updates, so much good news, and opportunities are coming up so I just felt the need for an upgrade. so i know i keep saying the [DEF] is done and yall must be thinking well where is it then? sorry. i'm so picky. and its the worst with my own music. i keep listening to it and thinking: is this enough? i mean, it seems like i get nothing but good reviews but still... i wont let that hold me back or prolong it tho. it is definitely a solid project! i just want to evoke the best i can out of myself. so just as insider intel, i'll say that i have a few tracks on it over industry beats. i mean, its not usually my thing to do that. i'm more of a do it from scratch type but sometimes u just got to show that u can spit. particular one i'm working on now is such a hard beat! rediculous... and u never want to get done in by the beat or the person who did it before you. thats not a good look. so i just hope and pray yall will feel this and follow me... the wait will be worth it

i've realized that i've been absent from the blogspot lately. i apologize first of all. life just taking its course is all. but i was talking to the homie L'davoice of H.I.S.D. briefly today and he told me what already knew but didnt take action on. I HAVE TO GET BETTER AT MY TIME MANAGEMENT! my education takes a big chunk out of my freetime but i can still fit things in here and there.

so now to take a step in the right direction, i have created for myself a list of dates for the [DEF]inition. but i will NOT put them out! lol. its not a great idea to put release dates out when ur doing things extra solo dolo. realistically i'm going to have to release my projects on my time. not the answer most people want or what i even want but that is my reality.

on a lighter note, seems like those that do hear my material are really feeling it! thank God! *big relieved sigh* been talkin to quite a few Houston folks out here. i'm on a journey to find believers! can only wonder how far i would be if i was doing the music thing full time.

hmmmmm...

guess i wont know that for now. just going to keep pushing forward...my new outlook on life

me and my people often chill in the H bored out of our minds. lol. not that we aint doing our thing music wise but sometimes, u just wanna chill and have fun. so when that happens, we resort to clowning around. this is what usually happens...

well, not quite. but i do have some written freestyles and things that i have in the works. that will be done very shortly. and for the first time, i believe i will put the track on my blog for free download. i think i just need to start giving stuff away for free. i really decided that most people know i can write a song and majority of the people are feeling them. but i also want people to know i can just spit without the beat supporting me along the way. so, i will update that soon! until then, uzoy out!

lately, i've been feeling a little....discouraged. it seems like the thing thats been keeping me going is the love i've been getting from all the supporters and fans. and those are the people that i cant let down. been talkin to my boy DG lately and we been hungry for this music. dude has really been keeping me going. so i PROMISE that i'll get back on track. going back to Houston tomorrow morning to record. i gotta record all day. got some things to get off of my chest lyrically. but instead of me rambling on, i got some stuff that encouraged me that i would like to share. i googled my name once again and found some things that really got me going.

i've concurred my laziness and finally uploaded a new track on my myspace. it's almost been a year. WOW. new track off of what I guess i can now announce will be the follow up EP to the [def]inition and it shall be called "Uzoy Like the Gun". dont worry tho. i havent just put the [def] to the side. i'm just not putting any more songs off of it on my myspace til its out. so yall will be getting more music out of it in the long run. this just pushes me more to give you the [def] and another project not too far after it. but anyways, this is just one of the many tracks to it. listen to it and enjoy.

THE [DEF]...UM...

SO HERE'S THE DEAL. THE REASON WHY THIS ISH HASNT BEEN OUT AND SEEMS LIKE IT WILL NEVER GET OUT IS BECAUSE OF MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE WHEN I STARTED RECORDING. BASICALLY, I FINISHED RECORDING EVERYTHING. I HAVE MY OWN STUDIO BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY FOR STUDIO TIME WHEN MAJORITY OF ENGINEERS AROUND ARE SUBPAR AT BEST BUT, ALOT OF MY VOCALS WERE PEAKING AND WERE DISTORED. NOW NOT ALL OF THE TRACKS ARE LIKE THIS BECAUSE I EVENTUALLY LEARNED BETTER. BUT MOST ARE.

[EXAMPLE: BOTTOM 2 TRACKS]

THEREFORE.....

I GOTTA RE-RECORD ALL THIS STUFF ACCORDING TO MY HOMIE NONSPECIFIC. I SENT HIM THE TRACKS TO BE MIXED AND MASTERED AND...FAIL :( SO DUE TO THAT HOLD UP, I'VE BEEN FEELIN A LIL DOWN. BUT I WILL GET THE BALL ROLLING! THATS A PROMISE! STAY TUNED FOR SOME LEAKS OFF OF THE TAPE. NO LET DOWNS. I PROMISE, AND IF I DO, I'M SORRY. LOL

I just came up with a name for my music group. If you know a little bit about my background, I used to roll with the name of Street Pharm. But there was alot of things I went thru with the people that were in that with me and I'm not down for that name no more. But I'm not going to announce what the new one is. sorry if you thought i was. lol. it is a common phrase though (thats your only hint)...but, i feel like it captures how i feel and what i rep. i'll release what it is when i have it all legal. might not be that long from now...

IT WAS OFF THE CHAIN! lol. Nah, but the show went great man. Real good turnout. The place was super packed. I had the chance to chop it up with Devin for a quick second. He was tryna get fresh. lol. he's real cool tho. He killed the show. But let me say, if you ever go to a Devin the Dude show, now that you will engulfed in weed smoke. lol. my eyes were burning all night from it and when i got off stage my throat was hurting from inhaling it all. lol. but apart from that, it was super dope!!!!! got pics that will be on the way soon...
